Accessibility Statement
Last updated 2026-10-23
This statement covers seclern.com and the study app. It is written by the person who builds the site, not by a compliance team.
1. What we aim for
The site aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. That is the standard we test against, not a certification we hold. Each release runs automated accessibility checks on the public pages and the signed-in screens in both the light and dark theme, and the keyboard path is exercised for sign-up, lessons, practice, exams, labs and checkout.
2. What is in place
- Every page has a language, a meaningful title, one main heading and landmarks.
- Text and controls meet AA contrast in both themes.
- The whole app can be used from the keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Form fields have labels; errors are announced; dialogs keep focus inside them and close with Escape.
- Motion respects your system's reduced-motion setting.
- The simulated desktop exposes its windows, dialogs, menus and terminal as accessible controls with names, and the terminal documents how to leave it with the keyboard (Escape, then Tab).
3. Known limits
- A simulated Windows desktop is not a real one. Some tasks are easier with a mouse, and the phone layout shows one app at a time.
- Terminal-heavy labs are usable with a keyboard but cramped on a small phone.
- Third-party pages we link to, including Stripe's checkout, are outside our control.
4. Telling us about a barrier
Email the support address in the footer with the page, the device and what stopped you. Accessibility reports are treated as bugs, not feedback, and are answered in the same queue as everything else. If a page cannot be used, we will give you the content another way while it is fixed.
5. Review
This statement is reviewed with each release. The date at the top of the page is the last review.
